Description

The Henri Bendel Sales Associate will take a proactive approach to capitalize and focus on incoming daily traffic within the store to maximize volume opportunities. As such, this role is responsible for ensuring a genuine, engaging and entertaining fun Bendel’s customer experience.

Drive Sales

Role Responsibilities:

    • Meets or exceeds sales goals per hour and overall sales volume goals; Average Dollar Sales (ADS) Goals; and Units per Transactions (UPT) Goals
    • Introduces customers to Henri Bendel branded merchandise, and drives sales in this and all categories through cross-selling
    • Takes on sales goals with flexibility and passion
    • Collaborates with colleagues in order to introduce customers to other categories and build sales volume

Delivers Exceptional Customer Service

  • Engages customers in a genuine manner that will differentiate the Bendel’s experience as one that is fun, unique and entertaining
  • Act as specialist in one merchandise category, but have general knowledge of multiple categories in order to cross-sell effectively
  • Remains continually aware of and develops knowledge on new items and their features and is keenly aware of beauty and fashion trends
  • Effectively uses CPS to capture customer and selling information
  • Handles returns and exchanges in a positive manner and makes every effort to convert the transaction to a sale

Maintains Prestige Brand Standards:

  • With the eye of the customer in mind, straightens up and fills in merchandise in selling area; cleans out fitting rooms; keeps work spaces neat, clean and orderly
  • Notifies Loss Prevention or maintenance associates immediately of safety risks or potential loss issues
  • Partners with Visual Merchandising to ensure new visual displays are maintained correctly

Fully Supports All Operating Behaviors:

  • Embraces change and supports new business directions in a positive and constructive manner
  • Represents the brand image well in terms of attire and professionalism
  • Follows all opening and closing procedures regularly and correctly (e.g. ensures register is ready for transactions as soon as the store opens)
  • Rings up sales under appropriate sales staff numbers
  • Keen awareness of and ability to follow loss prevention and general policies and procedures at all times
  • Attends product knowledge training sessions

Qualifications

  • Ability to speak another language (outside of English)***** very important
  • Must have experience with incentive based payment structure/sales driven******
  • At least one year of sales experience required, prestige brand experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of and passion for hottest fashion trends
  • Ability to understand what defines a brand

Education and Experience

  • At least one year of sales experience required, prestige brand experience preferred
