Seeking a full-time HR Generalist to join our team. This position will support the management and employees of our convenience stores, delis, energy services, wholesale and transportation businesses.

As a member of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist will work closely with the Director of HR to shape, manage, implement, and integrate HR programs and processes in support of the company’s strategic objectives for approximately 375 employees.

The HR Generalist will have the primary responsibility for full cycle recruitment of qualified candidates to fill exempt and non-exempt positions. This position must be able to analyze, select, and interview applicants. Must be able to identify, contact, and build a pipeline of qualified applicants in a rapid manner to maximize candidate pool. Will be responsible for brainstorming and strategizing recruitment plans for maximizing applicant flow. Includes but is not limited to: cold calling, sourcing internet/job boards, hosting and attending career events, and building partnerships with educational institutes and other various entities. Will communicate with management team to develop recruitment strategies to fill open positions. Also responsible for adhering to OFCCP Compliance in recruitment and selection processes.

This role is responsible for developing strong business relationships with employees be a problem solver with excellent business acumen and the drive to get things done. The HR Generalist will assist with employee relations providing the team with information, advice, guidance, and support to managers, supervisors, and staff, keeping abreast of HR issues and recommending and implementing solutions.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a Bachelor degree in a discipline related to role.
  • 3-5 years of relevant HR work experience preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.
  • Requires exceptional communication skills with ability listen, understand, and to state messages in a clear manner.
  • Broad knowledge of general employment laws, recruitment, EEO/AAP, safety, training, etc.
