The Financial Analyst role will report into the Commercial Finance organization and will be supporting the inventory and financial needs of one of the largest supplier partner divisions within Southern Wine & Spirits.The Analyst will provide budgeting, reporting and analytics on selling and administrative expenses as well as inventory.The Analyst will partner with Finance, Accounting and Trade Development to deliver on objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to, the following; other duties may be assigned):

·Support Finance and Inventory Managers

·Prepare recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis related to inventory and other commercial components of the business

·Lead T&E, Sample, and Centiv reporting and issue resolution

·Support Finance Manager at monthly supplier SOA meetings

·Manage all PWS banks / ongoing fund management

·DPP reporting and analytics for Moet Hennessy, Diageo and Nolets suppliers

·Manage Key Inventory Levers including item status, code to code, inactive items with inventory

·Analyze financial impact of aged inventory and support the monthly process of reducing our aged inventory exposure

·Develop a suite of inventory reports (days, turns, out of stock) to present to Sales, Trade Development and Finance.

·Analyze innovation launches to improve forecast accuracy

·Lead sku rationalization to eliminate underperforming sku’s


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3 plus years of financial analysis and forecasting experience.
  • Experience in forecasting Overhead costs
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products including advanced Excel skills
  • ERP proficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across the organization
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and people skills.
  • Strong team player; ability to multi-task
  • Strong Organizational skills
