The Email Marketing Coordinator is an individual responsible for planning, coordinating and measuring email marketing channel programs and initiatives for The Email Marketing Coordinator is a high-capacity & highly visible role that actively identifies, defines, implements and measures email campaign performance across both promotional and automated email channels to ensure channel performance is running like a well-oiled machine. Success in this role requires a diverse set of technical and people skills from: project management, strong communication, reliability, an eagerness to learn, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to juggle multiple on-going tasks, strong attention to detail, ability to write copy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Demand Generation Marketing Manager to develop Contact Plan – effectively planning & coordinating email messages on a weekly basis
  • Build wireframe email designs, briefs and HTML marketing emails in Silverpop (evo’s email platform) daily
  • Write strategic marketing copy, subject lines and pre-headers for email – optimizing for engagement
  • Work with the creative team to review and approve creative assets, provide constructive feedback where necessary
  • Utilize email software to drive performance: create segments, run A/B tests, utilize dynamic content, implement new features and automation
  • Provide regular, detailed reporting on email channel performance
  • Ideate email campaign ideas & messages as well as seek new opportunities for the evo email program
  • Maintain weekly email reporting– work to optimize send times, open rates and conversions
  • Proactively uncover and communicate problems and new opportunities across the email channel
  • Execute the Contact Plan: the right message, with strong content, on time while satisfying diverse needs of Marketing, eCommerce, Merchandising and Creative Teams
  • Successfully complete other related projects and tasks as necessary

Key Job Requirements

  • Familiarity and working knowledge of email marketing software and a track record for executing email marketing plans on a day-to-day basis

  • Familiarity and working knowledge of email marketing platforms and a proven track record for executing email marketing plans on a day-to-day basis
  • BA/BS desired, preferably in marketing or business
  • 3-4 years or equivalent of digital marketing experience preferred
  • Technical minded and data driven
  • Have an eagerness to work through tough challenges with humility and awareness to ask for help when needed
  • Digital marketing minded and strong working knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, working with tables and inline styles for email initiatives
  • Right brain ability to develop creative ideas and connect with people; Left brain ability to work with data/metrics and apply them to decision making
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as extremely organized and thorough
  • Proficiency with MS Office – especially Excel
  • Demonstrates a willingness to help wherever necessary, while completing one’s own work
